John Valenzuela is a permaculture designer, consultant and educator who for twenty years has specialized in the study, care and cultivation of rare fruits and plants in tropical and temperate ecosystems. John has taught extensively throughout the Hawaiian Islands and has also been a lead instructor at the Bullock Family Permaculture Homestead on Orcas Island, Washington. His special expertise is in traditional agriculture, plant propagation, and ethnobotany. He is the former Chairperson of the Golden Gate Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers Association and is owner of Cornucopia Food Forest Gardens in Marin County, California.
